When the 45th Annual RPM Promoters Workshops convene November 30, in Reno, NV at the Eldorado Hotel & Casino, the promoters networking event will feature 19 sessions including the return of popular “breakout sessions,” presentations, and roundtables covering the breadth of short track operation. The faculty is still taking shape but early commitments as presenters include 41st Auto Racing Promoter of the Year Dan Robinson, Lucas Oil (MO) Speedway, Chris Blair, Gateway (IL) Motorsports Park, and Mike Lysakowski, Jennerstown (PA) Speedway. Robinson will share his experiences in a career path that brought is from a utility man for NASCAR Champion Larry Phillips to GM of one of America’a most advanced speedways. Blair’s Gateway drew the biggest non-Indianapolis Speedway oval crowd ever for an Indycar race and he’ll explain how short track marketing and promotion methods made it happen. Lysakowski returns to update his “Marketing To The Thick Slice,” a presentation that turned promoters on their heads two years ago.
Additional sessions will cover dirt track prep, concessions, sponsorship, ticketing and admissions, publicity, websites, dirt & paved track roundtables, social media, sealed engines, tech & spec, employees & team building, enhancing entertainment value in shows, and more. As he has since the Workshops beginnings, attorney and racing legal expert Cary Agajanian who will sum up the year’s legal happenings in his racing legal update and promoters will benefit from the pro bono expertise of prominent racing attorneys who will consult with the audience in an open forum Q&A risk management forum.
The 45th Annual RPM Promoters Workshops Series, begins November 29 in Reno, NV, and concludes, February 11-13, 2018, at the Hilton Daytona Beach Ocean Walk Village, Daytona Beach, during Speedweek.
