Is Your Operation Spiraling Upward, Circling the Drain, or Somewhere Between? If your operation isn’t where you’d like it to be, it might be because you are paying too little attention to changes in our society. Oval racing lost its youth! As promoters’ children and grandchildren and their friends wandered off to extreme sports and virtual digital endeavors, oval racing ignored them for too long. Now, beset with an aging diminishing fan base, promoters must reconnect with the 18-34-year olds by remaking the sport so it beckons digitally distracted generations with fleeting attention spans raised on virtual pastimes, instant information, and digital social media.
Our Strongest Session Lineup Ever. Breaking the mould. Not the same old, same old. More experts from outside the racing industry than ever. At the 41st RPM Promoters, Workshops we will create grassroots oval racing’s nexus–a connection–between promoters and the technology and entertainment values popular with youthful demo groups. We’ll examine ways to connect the original “extreme” sport with fans of the X Games generations. In Workshops sessions presenters, panelists, and promoters will discuss the sports’ present entertainment product and contrast it to so-called extreme sports, and stadium motorsports, entertainment immensely popular with the young people often missing from oval track grandstands.
