The slate of nominees from which readers of Racing Promotion Monthly will choose the 34th Auto Racing Promoter of the Year will be announced January 5, and the recipient of auto racing promotion’s highest award will be revealed February 8 in opening ceremonies at the Speedweek National RPM Promoters Workshop.

While concerned about economic conditions, more than 70% of promoters attending the just concluded RPM Promoters Workshop in Reno, Nevada, expected steady or increased ticket sales and car counts in 2010. The Workshop, the 98th such event organized by the publication, this year with the theme “Brand Your Racing, Sell Your Brand,” features 32 sessions focused on reminding promoters to put their emphasis on marketing their own “brand” of short track racing.
